The Jolsha waistcoat is hand- weaved with organic raffia from Bangladesh and cotlin threads from in Italy.
The colour is inspired by Bangladeshi bridalwear colours red and gold. Those garments tend to be synthetic and heavily embroidered with unsustainable materials. The raffia in the Jolsha waistcoat gives a golden effect without the use of metallic threads.
The shape of the waistcoat is taken from Bangladeshi traditional menswear. The hooks are made from jute and dyed naturally with berries to obtain this tone. It can be styled with a shirt under during summer or a ribbed turtleneck during winter.
